Formed in 2009 with the acquisition of Travel Weekly Group from Reed Business Information, Jacobs Media Group is now the global voice for the travel and hospitality industries. Through shrewd acquisition, investment and organic growth, the company has an unrivalled multiplatform portfolio delivering events, exhibitions and insight on a global scale.
During my time at Jacobs Media Group and its selection of publications and platforms I was personally tasked with design and development of the group’s main website. I I was given a lot of free reign and chose to develop this website on WordPress , as at the time it was the platform I was most familiar with in terms of development, it was a solo project that was a request of the CEO and this instruction was simply that they needed a more mature, professional, website that could be used as a brochure for the group’s intellectual properties.
